With her niece, Marion Penney by her side, Hazel Maud Osmond passed away peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2009 at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook, at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn are several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Selena; sisters: Mary, Florence, Lillian and Effie; brothers: Alexander, Clifford and Victor. Granting her wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. There will be no formal service. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be made to the Bay of Islands SPCA or to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
