It is with great sadness that the family of the late Helen Doman announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the age of 70 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 52 years, John; children: Joyce (Dwight Butt), Roy (Lori), Beverley (Larry Plowman), Paul, and Donald (Gledean); grandchildren: Keith Butt (Sabrina and daughter, Cynthia), John Butt, Melanie Plowman, Alyson Plowman, and Gavin Doman; great-granddaughter Brooklynn Rogers; brothers and sisters: Irving (Betty), Clayton (Gladys), Claudine Barnes, Rose (Tom Vincent), Eric (Joan), Thelma (Bernard McCarthy) and George Pye; sisters and brothers-in-law: Elizabeth Codner, Enid and Raymond Rossi, Marie Doman and Neville Doman; cabin buddies: Roger & Julie House and Tom & Jackie Osmond; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Ida Pye; and brothers-in-law: Henry Codner, Gerald Barnes and Brook Doman. The family will be receiving friends at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday, March 13, 2008 and Friday, March 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Curling with Rev. John Hounsell Drover officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
