of Bonavista. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, September 21st,2008, age 81 years. Predeceased by her husband William and son, Harvey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories two sons: Gordon (Elsie), Wayne ( Ivy) of St. John's and daughter Delcie (Bert Butler) of Paradise; six grandchildren Scott, David (Sherri), Denise (Duane Smith), Paul (Susan) Barry (Laura) Cind; great-grandchildren Liam, Stella ( her little jewel), Sylas, Julia; sister Margaret Powell and brother Alfred (Maude) Ryan, one brother-in-law Herbert Murphy. Special nieces and nephew; Grace (Cyril) Abbott), Myrtle (George Cuff), Bertha (Clarence Murphy), Freeman (Charlotte) Ryan who gave so freely of their time. Special friends Alma and Raymond Chard, Alva and Aubrey Cull all of Bonavista. Also many other nieces, nephews and friends. A very special thank-you to the staff of Luxury Estates where she resided for the past two years and also to the staff of 6 East at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital for their wonderful care during her final days. Resting at Strathie's Funeral Home in Bonavista, visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Grace Pentecostal Church in Bonavista. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Canadian Bible Society.
