It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hughie D. White announce his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at the age of 90 years. He will be sadly missed by his three sisters: Ida (Raymond) Downey and family of Codroy Valley, Dot Doyle and family of Stephenville and Tillie O’Neill and family of Kippens; special friend, Isabel White and family of Kippens, as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary; brothers: Bill, Jack and Tom; and sisters: Lucy Blackwood and Mary Mullins. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, August 15th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
