It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Walter Burroughs announce his passing after a courageous battle on Sunday, May 25, 2008 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville at the age of 89 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Leonora (nee Kerfont), his children, Jim (Shirley) of Paradise, Robert of Stephenville, Linda of Corner Brook, his grandchildren, Jamie, Shawna, Jason, Hailey, Jesse. Cremation has taken place at Russell’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Stephenville. A private family interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or to the Daffodil Place.
