It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jesse Peter Lodge announce his passing at the Interfaith Home in Corner Brook on Thursday, January 29th 2009, in his 79th Year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Annie nee Reid, whom he married on August 29th 1957, & spent the last 51 years together. His 6 children; Dorothy (Max) Pretty, Gary (Glenda) Lodge, Darlene (Wayne) Burt, Denise (Doug) Critch, Shawn Lodge (Rachelle), & Karen (Chris) Pretty. His 14 grandchildren; Ryan (Vanessa) Pretty, Robert, Tonya, Jeremy, Jonathan, Danielle, Deanne, Melanie, Keshia, Dayna, Darren, Cassandra, Laneika, & Matthew. His 2 great grandchildren; Isaiah & Shealyn Paige. Also leaves to mourn a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, his extended families, & his best friend Walter (Fay) Wells. Jesse was predeceased by his mother & father; Elizabeth & Samuel Lodge, his brothers; Wilfred,Gordon, Herbert, & Adolphus. The family will be receiving family & friends from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm today Saturday January 31st 2009 & also on Sunday February 1st 2009 from the hours of 10 - 12. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army Memorial fund and would be gratefully appreciated. The funeral service will take place on Sunday February 1st 2009 at 3 pm from the Salvation Army church in Deer Lake, with Major Lindsey Oxford officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Wights Road, Deer Lake.
