It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Park announces his passing at his residence on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the age of 68 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 43 years, Velma; children: David (Samantha White) of Benoit’s Cove, Dion (Lois) of Cox’s Cove, and OJ (Debbie Payne) of Cox’s Cove; grandchildren: Alicia, Karlie, Bailey, Tyson and Hunter; sisters: Eileen Park of John’s Beach, Susan Simms of Niagara Falls, ON, and Pearl (Stanley) Park of Cox’s Cove; brother-in-law, Ralph; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Ellen Jane and John Park; and sisters and brothers: Bridie, Mary, Herbert, Beatrice, William and Molly. Visitation will be held at the Anglican Church, McIvers on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 beginning at 2:00 p.m. and at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Cox’s Cove on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Cox’s Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
