Judy Bernadette Power, resident of Grande Prairie, passed away at the QEII Hospital on Monday, November 17, 2008 at the age of 42 years. Judy was born on October 13, 1966 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. She finished High School and worked as a social worker in the area. Judy was strong, determined, hard working, head strong, and stubborn. For her, more times than not, they were very positive characteristics that made her who she “is” to us who knew and loved her. She will be sadly missed by her husband Rod Brake; sons Devon and Scott; sisters and brothers Kay and Carl Pike, Bill and Louise Power, Doris and James Stone, Rose and Terry Murphy, Linda and Guy McIsaac, Theresa and Wendell Caldwell, Jerry and Darlene Power, Christina and Wayne Rideout, Kevin and Judy Power, Jeannie and Leonard Duffenais, Barbara and Jerry Power, Joseph and Kimberly Power, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents William and Gladsy (Tulk) Power. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Viewing will take place at Oliver’s Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
