It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leonard Rioux announces his passing on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife, Sarah Rioux; two sons: Peter in Ottawa, Ontario and Paul in Korea; six brothers: Johnny (Evelyn) of Lourdes, Lewelyn (Diane) of Lourdes, Mervin (Diane) of London, Ontario, Cecil (Bertha) of Stephenville Crossing, Joseph (Delores) of Brampton, Ontario and Yves (Laura) of Lourdes; three sisters: Aurelia (Frank) Maggiacomo of Mississauga, Ontario, Elizabeth (Thomas) Alexander of Lourdes and Marie (Ivan) Jesso of Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents, Florence and Peter Rioux. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, February 15, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at West Side Tabernacle, Monday, February 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Andrews and Pastor Sacrey officiating. Interment will take place at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
