It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lorena Jane Day announce her passing on Thursday, April 24th, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband: George Day Sr.: eight children: Maureen (Ray) Jesso, Benoit’s Cove, Betty (Paul) Yetman, Ontario, George Jr. (Judy), Curling, Gary (Natalie), Ontario, Lisa (Dave) Crase, New Brunswick, Dean (Carla), Ontartio, Cory (Tammy), Halifax and Christina (Craig) Day, Deer Lake; grandchildren: Vicki, Terrilyn, Kevin, Tyler, Lucas, Joshua, Michael, Justin, Reagan, Carter, Patrick, Kaleb, Sarah, Katie, Nathan, and Brooklyn; sisters: Gertrude, Bernice, Manie and Melva; brothers: Derek, Clarence, and Wallace; sisters-in-law: Alice and Trudy; brothers-in-law: Jack and Charlie; special friends: Mabel Tiller and Ettie Stratton special caregivers: Mary, Wyanne, and Irene, as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and numerous friends. Predeceased by her parents: Norman and Amelia Snooks and brothers: Robert, Noble and Thomas. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling street on Saturday and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28th at 11am from Curling Memorial United, Reverend Margie Wood officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
