It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lucy Hilda Anstey announce her passing on Sunday, June 8th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 88th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 64 years Claude, 2 children: David (Ursula) of Stephenville and Donald (Maxine) of Corner Brook; 4 grandchildren: Robyn of Stephenville, Christopher (Sheena) of Halifax, Donnie (Marion) of Corner Brook and Jennifer (David) Hynes of Corner Brook; 3 great-grandchildren: Matthew and Grayson Hynes and Nathan Anstey all of Corner Brook; 2 sisters: Effie Simmonds of Deer Lake and Myrtle (Harris) Purchase of British Columbia; sister-in-law Mary Follett of Corner Brook. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents Debra and Albert Follett, sisters Evelyn Reid, Bertha Follett and Emma Follett, brother Henry Follett. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th at 2:00 PM from the Salvation Army Temple with Majors Ronald & Joyce Stuckless officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Daffodil Place.
