It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daisy Pond of Gambo at the James Paton Memorial Hospital on September 25, 2008 in her 82nd year. Daisy was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories husband Murray of 55 years; daughters Judy (Melvin) Goulding, Sheila (Hughie) Stares, Beryl (Jeff) Stanley, Glenys (Roy) Douglas; grandchildren Keira, Jeffrey, Sheena, Shane, Jonathan, Amanda, Steven; great-grandson Koby; sister Annie (Frank) Howse; brother-in-law Arthur (Ena) Pond; sisters-in-law Marion Pond, Ada Efford, Maisie Pond, Betty (George) Badcock, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends, especially the Gambo Home League and the Gambo Heritage Seniors Group. Visitation at Pritchett's Funeral Home, Gambo, Friday 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to noon. Funeral service will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel on Sunday, September 28 at 2:30 p.m. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
