Passed peacefully away on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, Margaret LaFitte (nee Power) at the age of 71 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter, Patti (Jeff Wilson) and four sons: Joseph (Bev), Tim (Wanda), Aiden and Pierre. Grandchildren: Amy, Thomas, Chantelle, Jonathan, Krystal, David, Anika and Evan. Brothers-in-law: Stan (Clarissa), Jim (Theresa) and Joe Norman. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Joseph LaFitte and two sisters, Madeline Dunn and Josephine Norman. Visitation will take place at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 10 a.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
