It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary MacArthur announce her passing at her residence in Port au Port East on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the age of 57 years. She will be sadly missed by her son, Ronnie (Erica) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, two daughters: Vanessa MacArthur of Port aux Basques, Jessica (Jason) Bateman of Marystown, one sister, Donna (Allan) Kerfont of Port au Port East, three grandchildren: Liam Glavine, Braydon and Jorja Bateman and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh J. MacArthur, parents, Hughie and Girlie March, sister-in-law, Doreen MacArthur, son-in-law, Mitch Glavine, Friends may call at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and St. Anne’s Church in Upper Ferry on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, July 11th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Church, Upper Ferry with interment in the Mount St. Thomas Cemetery in Codroy Valley. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
