It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maxwell Simms announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Friday, July 25, 2008 at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 38 years, Winnie; children: Ben (Susan) of Nova Scotia, Maxine (Jason) of Corner Brook, Max Jr. (Maryann) of Corner Brook and Myra (Rex) of Musgrave Harbour; grandchildren: Ben Jr., Gerard, Christopher, Emma and Luke; great-grandchildren: Heidi, Presley, Noah and Dustin; brothers: John, Phillip and Donald (Amelia); sister, Mary (Fred); brothers-in-law: George (Beatrice), Jordan and Ron (Rose); sister-in-law, Lorraine; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Louisa Simms; daughter, Doreen; grandsons: Douglas and Michael; and brother, Fred. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Saturday, July 26, 2008 and Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army Temple. Interment at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
