It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mercedes Theresa Felix announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband, James. She leaves to mourn, one son, Ernest of Felix Cove, three daughters: Marg Russell of Stephenville Crossing, Lena Gabriel of Stephenville Crossing, and Joan Gale (Glenn) of Kippens, 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Mom lived life to the fullest. A good game of cards and a toddy never went astray. Her table was always set for anyone who happened to drop in and if you beat her in poker you may never be invited back again. God bless you Mom. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, January 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Russell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville with Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating. Cremation will take place after the Funeral Service. Interment will take place on Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 a.m. at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre Memorial Fund.
