It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Hutchings announces her passing on Tuesday, November 18th 2008 at the Interfaith Home at the age of 88 surrounded by her family. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Stella (Ross) Smith, Evelyn (Frank) Shirran, Georgina (Carl) Peckford, John (Olive) Hutchings, Melvin (Ruth) Hutchings, Donald Hutchings, St. John’s, Bernetta (Kevin) Ezekiel, Kerry (Stephanie) Hutchings, Robert (Marie) Hutchings, Marjorie Hutchings, Paul Hutchings, Edmonton; 24 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren; sister, Elsie Wheeler (Percy, deceased); brother-in-laws: Frank Wheeler, Summerside and Wilfred Hutchings, Reidville; as well as large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Stanley Henry Hutchings, July 7, 1988; infant son, Walter; infant daughter, Eileen and great-granddaughter, Kayla Hutchings; parents, Fredrick and Evelyn Ruth; sisters, Georgina, Eileen, Marjorie, Gertrude and Ivy; brothers, Harold, Chesley and Fredrick; sisters-in-law, Dorothy, Maisie, Gertrude, Nellie and Lucy; brothers-in-law, Joseph, Percy, Stanley, Ray, James and Norman. Friends may visit at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 country Road on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 7-9 pm and on Thursday, November 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 2 pm from the First United Church, Park Street with Reverend Wayne Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
