It is with great sadness that the family of the late Omar J. Gaudon announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Born in Stephenville, Omar is survived by his loving wife, Rita and six children: Linda (Howard) Doucette of Riverview, New Brunswick, Laverna Gaudon of Riverview, New Brunswick, Wayne (Sharon) Gaudon of London, Ontario, Brian (Elizabeth) Gaudon of Stephenville, Vincent Gaudon of Caledon, Ontario, Rosemary Gaudon of Dalhousie, New Brunswick, three brothers: Cosmos Gaudon of Stephenville, Cyril Gaudon of Stephenville, Vincent Gaudon of Ontario, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Francis and daughters, Mona and Theresa. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, January 7 at 2 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville.
