It is with great sadness that the family of the late Richard Joseph Bennett announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, on Saturday April 18th, 2009 in his 84th year, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Marion, nee Osmond, his son; Lance (Madeline) of Hampden, his daughters; Stacey (Michael) of Corner Brook, Sandra Walsh of Cormack, Dianne (Ted) of Mattis Point, & Nora (Freeman) of Brampton, Ontario, his 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, his brother; Martin (Maisie) &, his brother in law; Paul Rubia both of St. Jude's, Richard was predeceased by his parents; Angus & Mary Bennett, son; Joseph, brothers; Peter & Dave, & his sisters; Mabel, Elizabeth & Jane. Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his extended family. The family are receiving family and friends from the Salvation Army Church in Hampden, today Monday, April 20th, 2009 from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm, from where also the funeral service will take place from on Tuesday, April 21st, 2009 at 11 am with Major Lindsey Oxford & Major Robert Kean officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Hampden.
