It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rita Russell Abbott announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the age of 94 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her sons: Thomas, Victor (Rhoda), George (Ruby), Jason (Daisy); grandchildren: Denise, Adrian and Gena, Leonard and Nancy; great-grandchildren: Destiny and Brianna; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Russell, daughter Jean, sisters Albertha and Eva, brother Harold, parents William and Martha Hicks. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 2 pm from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bessey officiating. Interment to follow in Mount Patricia Cemetery.
