NEW GLASGOW - Margaret Obelline MacLean passed away at the age of 98 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
She was born in Drummond, NB, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was the daughter of the late Auguste and Emma (Boucher) Cote.
She was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church. She owned the Shanty Restaurant, worked on the PEI Ferries and owned the Roadside Market with her late husband, Jim MacLean. They enjoyed travelling and she was an avid cook.
Surviving is her only son, Delbert Nœl (Margaret Coady) Michaud, Eureka; grandchildren: Marion (Leslie) Cameron, Leslie (Cavall Crew) Michaud, Linda (Brian Moser) Carol (Leonard Brownell), Sally (Richard Cameron), Norman (Wendy Frost) Brow, Jœy (Linda Jack) Brow, 19 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James MacLean; and a daughter, Mae Eulalie (Charlie Brow); grandsons, Francis and Edward Brow; and several brothers and sisters.
Her remains will rest in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barbara Fotheringham officiating. Burial will be in MacLean Trafalgar Cemetery.
