“Forever in our Hearts” It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Rita Young announce her peaceful passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on June 19, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Rita was a loving wife to the late John (Jack) Young and was a devoted and cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and special friend to many. Left to remember her beauty, strength and wisdom are her children: Marina (Terry) Downey, Kevin (Venita) Young and Terry (Madonna) Young; special nephew, Cyril (Joyce) Young; grandchildren: Van, Jennifer, Derrick, Shelly, Natalie, Darren, Tina, Brenda, Rene, Gregory and spouses; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters: Leona (Bride), Beatrice and Delia; brother, Ronald; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Adeline (White) Barry; sisters: Bertha and Lillian; brothers: Martin, William, Reginald, Charlie and Steve Barry. Visitation took place on Friday, June 20th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Russell’s Funeral Home, Station Road, Stephenville Crossing. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Heatherton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21st, with interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Heatherton. Reception and lunch to follow at the Church Hall. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre would be greatly appreciated.
