It is with great sadness that the family of Mary "Mae" Agnes Agatha Corcoran of Saint John, N.B., wife of Dale Corcoran, announce her passing on Monday, April 12, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in P.E.I. on Feb. 14, 1946, she was the youngest child of the late Edmund and Agnes (Jones) Clements. Besides her husband of 46 years, she is survived by her five children, Laura Lee Nice (Frank), Tony, Lynn McCluskey (Trent), Rick and Troy. She was a very special Grammy to her six grandchildren, Meagan Nice (Mike Cunningham), Bradley Nice, Shelley, Natasha and Dylan McCluskey and Cody Poirier. Also survived by her brother, Ralph Clements (Bertha); sisters, Ada Waddell (David) and Kay Beaulieu (Fred); one aunt, Kate Arsenault and many nieces, nephews and cousins and a special "Buddy". In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Eddie and Dan Clements. Mae was past president of St. Matthew's Women's Society and a member for 25 years. She was involved in the Christmas Exchange Program for several years. Over the years, she spent her time looking after and caring for both the young and the elderly. Mae was well known for looking after everyone in the neighbourhood. Resting at Brenan's Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road (634-7425) with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Matthew's Church in Grand Bay on Thursday, April 15, at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Grand Bay-Westfield, at a later date. Following the mass, a reception will be held in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, St. Matthew's Church Building Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
