Passed peacefully away at home in the presence of his loving family on Sunday, September 28, 2008. Cyril Patrick Myrick, age 75 years was born and raised at Cape Race in 1933, to Hilda and Patrick Myrick. He left at age 17 to pursue his career as a radio operator and honorably served the Coast Guard for 35 years, with the Cape always remaining an important part of his life and the lives of his wife and children. Left to treasure his memory, include: his loving wife Eileen of 39 beautiful years; children: Lori (Scott) Thorne, Glenn (Jennifer), Carla (Mark), Gillian (Darren); special grandchildren: Ben and Kate Thorne, and baby boy Myrick on the way; brother: Ernest Myrick and sisters: Mary Myrick and Frances (friend and brother-in-law Jim) Lambe, as well as many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. His little dog Maggie will also miss him greatly. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of Peace Church, Torbay Road. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Thursday, October 2nd, 2008.
