Sgt. Ronald Lecoure

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sgt. Ronald LeCoure announce his passing at the O’Connell Centre, Corner Brook on Friday, August 15, 2008 at the age of 90 years. He was a Sgt. in World War II 59th Regiment. He will be sadly missed by his two sons: Ivan (Theresa) LeCoure of Labrador City. Aubrey (Angela) LeCoure of Mississauga, Ontario, one daughter, Joan Smith of West Bay, two brothers: Allan (Theresa) LeCoure of Lourdes, Gus (Cecilia) LeCoure of Black Duck Brook, one sister, Eileen Young of St. John’s, three grandchildren: Marcel, Janice, Moya, four great-grandchildren: Avari, Kaenan, Carter, London and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Regina LeCoure in 1995, son-in-law, Jim Smith in 2007. Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Lourdes on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, August 18th at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Lourdes with Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the CNIB would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville.
