On September 28, 2008 at the Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge, Miss Shirley Noseworthy, of 90 years, quietly slipped past the earthly bonds of physical life and into the heavenly realm of God's kingdom. Shirley was predeceased by her loving and devoted parents, John Charles and Sarah Jane Noseworthy and her sisters, Dot Hudson and Sarah Easterbrook. Left to mourn, and with deep gratitude, for the life of a beautiful lady are nephews and nieces: Charlie (Myrtle) Hudson, Lex (Fay) Hudson, Ken (Jean) Hudson, Shirley Castella (Rev. Eugene), Helen Power, Judy (Eugene) Evans, Barbara (Wilson) Wiseman, and Diane Parsons: also a large circle of other relatives and friends including the loving and caring staff and residents of Glenbrook Lodge. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Memorial United Church, Pouch Cove on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Memorial United Church Cemetery, Pouch Cove.
