It is with great sadness that the family of the late Una Marion Gillam announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Wednesday, February 27th at the age of 75 years. She will be sadly missed by her husband James, sons: Terry (Susie), Whitbourne; Sheldon (Grace), Musgrave Harbour; daughters: Linda (Byron) Butt, Heatherton; Sherry (Gerald) Colombe, St. George’s; Connie Hearn, Stephenville; Wendy (Travis) Barry, Lower Sackville, NS; Kimmy (Philip) Ryan, Port Hastings, NS; 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brothers: Elwin (Claire) Gillam, St. David’s, Jerome (May) Gillam, Stephenville; sisters: Dora Jay, Guelph, ON; Vera Alley, Kitchener, ON; Dulcie Matchem, Auora, ON; Cora (Gerald) Fortune, St. David’s as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Elwin and Zena Gillam and son Spencer Gillam. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, February 29th from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church in St. David’s from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, March 1st at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Karen Laldin officiating. Interment will follow in the Anglican Cemetery, St. David’s. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation.
