Sarah Reamer (nee Ionel) passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at Providence Place at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Harold A. Reamer (2001). Beloved mother of Linda Staples (Jim) of Swan River, MB, Shirley Hunter (Brad) of Calgary, AB, cherished grandmother of Tammy (Kyle), Justin (Andrea), Miranda, Hollie (Scott), Brittany (Mike); great-grandmother of Ben, Lleyton, Annabelle, and Drew. She will be fondly remembered by her brothers Alex and Nick Ionel (Joyce), and by her sisters Annie Zabolotney, Lena Popescul (Con), Flora Lemay (Lou). Predeceased by siblings Sager, Carolina, John, and George. Sarah was born in Ormiston, SK on February 17th, 1923 to Ispas and Maranda Ionel. She grew up and went to Middle Valley School in Ormiston District. She moved to Moose Jaw in 1946. Sarah married Harold in 1948 and then started their family. She loved to cook and garden, and loved family gatherings and family dinners. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Friday, April 23rd, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St West, Moose Jaw, with Pastor Marvin Seaborg officiating. A special thank you is extended to the nurses and staff at Providence Place for their care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Providence Place Healing Garden Project would be appreciated.
