McMillan, George Dennis, 81, of Camden, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at home. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Albert and Florence (Henderson) McMillan. He was a carpenter and handyman most of his life. He loved his community, friends, family, and also had a great love of music. He loved to watch the birds, deer and horses. George loved sharing his wisdom with others and lending a helping hand whenever he could. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by sister-in-law, Sylvia McMillan, Central Onslow; several nieces, nephews and special nephew, Albert Johnson, Middleton. He was predeceased by his loving companion, Grace Nauss; sister, Helen McMillan; half-sisters, Bessie Johnson, Olive MacKenna, Edna MacMillan, Erma Rushton, Nellie Flemming, Jean Roode, Florence Thompson; half-brothers, Gordon and Stanley McMillan. Visitation will be held 10-11am Friday, April 23, prior to funeral service at 11am with Rev. Sue King-Darby officiating, all in the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street Truro. A reception will follow in the funeral home. Interment will then be held in the Camden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harmony/Camden McCulloch United Church.
