It is with great sadness that the family of the late Violet Martha Hobbs announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the age of 89 years. She will be sadly missed by her two sons: Sidney (Wendy) Hobbs of St. George’s, Samuel (Theresa) Hobbs of Black Duck Siding, one daughter, Linda (Tom) Collier of Stephenville, two sisters: Jessie Hobbs of New Perlican, Alice (Ivan) Young of Barachois Brook, 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Thomas Hobbs and three sons: Gerald, Brian and Harry. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the All Saints Anglican Church in Stephenville Crossing with interment in the Anglican Cemetery in Stephenville Crossing. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
