The passing of Aubrey Deverne Price, husband of Shirley Marie (Harris) Price, of Upper Caverhill, occurred on April 22, 2010 at York Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by his family. Born on September 2, 1929 in New Maryland he was a son of the late Weldon and Ethel (Grant) Price. Aubrey worked as a Service Technician for Coke for over 30 years; retired doing Maintenance Work at the University of New Brunswick. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering in his garage and working on the farm. Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Jackie Grant (Wayne) of Douglas, Wendy Price (Ron) of Fredericton, Darcie Fanjoy (Philip) of Keswick, Tammy Thebeau (Harvey) of Sheffield and Jennie McPhail (Brian) of Fredericton; two sons, Tony Price of Royal Road and Jamie Price of Douglas; eight grandchildren, Vicki, Pam, Peggy, Amanda, Lacey, Robert, Carrie-Lynn and Patricia; five great grandchildren, Tiffany, Tasha, Abby, Amy and Jonathan; three sisters, Muriel Currie of Fredericton, Doris Burns of Fredericton and Betty Hill of Oshawa, ON; two brothers, Winston Price (Evelyn) and Stanley Price all of Oshawa, ON; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first born, Aubrey Hugh Price; grandson, Troy Aubrey Price; sisters, Phyllis, Madeline and his twin sister, Audrey; four brothers, Merlin, Jack, Philip and Thomas.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Saturday from 7 to 9pm. A Memorial Service will be held from York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 2:30 pm with Rev. Peter Thomas officiating. Interment will take place at Upper Caverhill Cemetery.
