Norma B. Rogers of Riverview, passed at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at the age of 63. Born on June 7, 1946 in Fredericton, NB she was the daughter of the late Harold and Anne (McGinn) Moffatt. Norma worked as a registered nurse since 1967 and most recently at Lakeview Manor in Riverview, she truly enjoyed her chosen profession and was blessed with so many wonderful co-workers and cherished friends over the years. She enjoyed skating, playing the piano, dancing and all kinds of music, yet most of all she loved being a mom, watching her family grow into the unique, loving and caring individuals they are today. Norma will be dearly missed and forever be in the hearts of her children; daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Jason); sons; Michael (Jen) and Patrick (Claire); grandchildren; Mackaela, Liam, Faith and Rachel, brothers; Richard (Verity), Doug (Shirley); sister, Glenna (George), several nieces and nephews and her special puppy, Strutter. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Don in 1995.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, with parish prayers and sharing of memories to take place Sunday evening at 8:30. The funeral mass will take place on Monday, April 26 at 11:00 AM, from Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Riverview with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. The interment will take place at Rockland Cemetery, McAdam, NB, alongside her husband Don, at a later date.
