Surrounded by his wife and children, William Joseph Judge passed peacefully away on November 10, 2008. He was 81 years old. Bill worked as a powerhouse operator at the mill in Grand Falls-Windsor, retiring in 1988 after 41 years of service. He served in active duty in Korea with the Royal Canadian Regiment (1950-1953); and, he was an active member of the Grand Falls-Windsor Legion, Branch 12. Bill was predeceased by parents, Mary and Joseph Judge; sister, Helen (Penton); and, brothers, Jim and Joe Judge. Left to celebrate his life with fond and loving memories are his wife Vera (Janes); his daughters, Donna (Hal Daley) of Vineland, Ontario; Debbie (Derek Morrissey) of Steady Brook, NL; and Judy Judge of Rundu, Namibia; his granddaughters, Shauna (Daley-Pennock) and Lynn Daley; his grandsons, Mark Morrissey, Stephen Morrissey and Scott Daley; and his great-grandsons, Owen and Luke Pennock; his sisters Eileen (Wakeham) and Mary (Hirst); and brother, Edward (Ned); and his many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends and relatives. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. All arrangements have been entrusted to Central Funeral Home of Grand Falls-Windsor.
