It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Joseph O’Keefe, announce his sudden passing on Saturday, September 27th, 2008 at Western Memorial Hospital, at the age of 53 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Ruby; his children: William Keith (Sue), Elizabeth (Scott) from Brampton, Ontario; grandchildren: Christopher from Corner Brook, Blake, Leonard and Tyler from Brampton, Ontario; his mother: Sarah O’Keefe (Bourgeois); sisters: Anne Marie, Janet Byng (Rob), Jocelyn Greene (Bill) from Benoit’s Cove, and Patricia Peddle (Byron) from Ontario; brothers: Patrick, Bernard (Charmaine), Donnie (Jackie) from Ontario, and Brian (Violet) from Halfway Point. He was predeceased by his father Leonard O’Keefe and brother Leonard Jr. He will also be missed by a large circle of sister/brother-in-laws from the O’Keefe and Vincent families, nieces and nephews, a multitude of relatives and friends. Special mention to his motorcycle buddies who shared his passion for riding. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, September 30th, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Benoit’s Cove on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 10:30 am with Father Buckle officiating. Interment to take place at a later date.
