It is with great sadness that the family of the late Willis Alonzo Blanchard announce his passing on Friday, January 9th, 2009 at the Northern Lights Regional Hospital in Fort McMurray, Alberta in his 64th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; his partner Laverne, his father; Albert, sisters; Margaret (Melvin), & Elizabeth (Matthew), brother; Daniel (Margaret), sisters; Caroline (Craig), Rosetta (Dale), & Romaine (Jeff), and his sister-in-law; May. Also a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large circle of friends. Willis was predeceased by his mother; Johannah, nee Parsons, brothers; Herman & Melvin. The family will be receiving family and friends at the St. Peters Anglican Church in Parsons Pond, on Monday, January 12th, 2009 from the hours of 7 - 9 pm and on Tuesday, January 13th, 2009 from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm , from where also the funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 14th, 2009 at 2 pm with the Rev. James Pratt officiating with the Burial to follow at the church cemetery in Parsons Pond. Donations to the Children Wish Foundation or The Janeway Hospital in Willis’ memory would be graciously appreciated.
