The family of the late Clarence Valence Laing would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all who have, in their own way, demonstrated their respect and caring for us and our late Father during this very sad time. Whether through kind words, visits, food, flowers and other donations - each thoughtful act is greatly appreciated.

Given his health issues, we were very fortunate to have enjoyed so much time with him. After each near miss he always rebounded with an ever-greater zeal for life, family and friends.

In his later years he was moved to record the memories of his life experiences for his children and grandchildren. He also recorded a brief history of many local Norris Point families. We now have a story and, in time, we hope to share it with his friends.

Or sat quietly in a chair,
Perhaps you sent beautiful flowers,
If so, we saw them there.
Perhaps you sent or spoke kind words,
As any friend could say,
Perhaps you were not there at all,
Just thought of us that day.
