JOSEPH, Murray Aadel Born Aug. 28, 1931 in Truro, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at University Hospital on April 26, 2010, in London, Ontario. The youngest surviving brother of 6 boys, he was the beloved son of Said and Melikie Joseph who predeceased him. A devoted and loving grandfather of six amazing grandchildren, Shareef, Gihan, Hannah, Jameela, Hunter and Iman. They gave him years of happiness and laughter 'til the day he left this world for another. Respected and loved father of Faisal, Melikie, Nadia and Gehad. Most importantly, dearly beloved husband, soulmate and partner to his devoted wife of 49 years, Hayatt who treated him with unselfish love, devotion and respect. He truly loved his son-in-law Paul and 2 daughters-in-law Amal and Melanie. He was a man of unquestionable integrity and compassion who dedicated his whole life to helping others who couldn't help themselves. He was a respected leader in the Islamic community in both Nova Scotia and Ontario for decades and was known for his sage advice and wisdom as a peace maker. He feared no man and loved all. He loved to laugh and always saw the glass of life as half full not half empty. He enjoyed sports as a young man playing both baseball and rugby, where he earned the nickname Murray 'choo choo' Joseph because he hit like a train. His greatest legacy is his family, his faith, and his good deeds. He helped and touched thousands of people in his 78 years of life. An Islamic Service in the finest tradition was held at the Islamic Center in London on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, where hundreds attended to pay their respects. Should friends desire to donate in his memory, please give generously to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
