Mary Elizabeth Butts, 63 of Port Morien passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Doctor's Cove, Shelbourne Co., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rita Newell.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Joe; her daughter, Tanya Elizabeth, Ontario and her three grandchildren, Morgan, Mason and Maryn. Also left to mourn are sisters, Eleanor (Jackie) Newell, Port Latour, N.S., Carol Ann (Lloyd) Clements, Port Morien, Rhonda (Blaine) Perry, Sydney and brother, Wayne (Sharon) Newell, Ontario.
She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Rita Newell.
Visitation for Mary Elizabeth Butts will be held at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, Sunday, May 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The committal service will be announced at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of choice.
