Robert Francis Addicott passed away peacefully at the Glace Bay Hospitla on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, with his family by his side.
Born in Glace Bay, he was a son of the late Andrew and Irene (Campbell) Addicott.
He was employed with Sydney Steel Corporation until its closing.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine (MacNeil); brother, Bruce (Theresa), Petawawa, Ont.; his lifelong best friend, Billy (Betty) Gallant, Cloyne, Ont.; brothers-in-law, Aaron (Fely) and Karl (Theresa), both of Glace Bay, and Edward, Toronto, Ont.; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John, his sister, Edith, his father and mother-in-law, Gerald and Florence MacNeil.
Visitation will be Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Curry's Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. The Funeral Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Fr. Bill Rankin officiating.
