It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfred Edgar Taylor announces his passing on April 24, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 71. Leaving to mourn with so many fond and loving memories his wife Nellie, daughter: Janet (Tobin) Small of Elliott Lake, ON, sons: Mark (Mary) Taylor of Eastern Passage, NS, Greg Taylor of Brampton ON, stepdaughters: Sharon (Gerry) Dawe of Steady Brook, NL, Lisa (Barry) Rumbolt of Mary's Harbour, Labrador, grandson: Donovan Taylor, Step-grandchildren: Martin (Rachelle) Park, Jordan Park, Ian Dawe, step-great grandson: Alfred Jacob, brothers: Oscar (Mildred) Taylor of Corner Brook, Eugene (Brenda) Taylor of Sidney Mines, NS, sisters: Winnie (Ron) Rowen of Richmond Hill, ON, Helen (Rod) Mason of Mount Pearl, NL, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Ethel (1999) and Douglas (1979) Taylor. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, continuing at St. Andrews United Church in Woody Point on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 from 10 am - 12 noon from where the funeral service will be held at 2 pm with Reverend Beverly Snow officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cancer Center, Western Region, Corner Brook, Oakland United Church accessibility fund, St. Andrew's United Church Woody Point Memorial Fund.
