
Isabel Trew
TREW - Isabel Irene (Pierce) passed away peacefully April 19, 2010, with her family by her side, after a brief but courageous battle with leukemia. She was born on April 2, 1931, to parents Bert and Grace Pierce in Abbey, SK. She married Ross Trew on February 11, 1950, and they lived in Lemsford, where they farmed and raised a family. They have resided in Qualicum Beach, BC, for the last 14 years. She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Ross of 60 years; her daughters Pat (Ellis) Edge of Cochrane, AB, Connie (Ken) Kufta of West Vancouver, BC, Debbie (Bryce) Knudson of Tabor, SD, and her son Ron (Lois) Trew of Lemsford, SK; her 11 grandchildren, Tracey (Bryan) Willms, Stephanie (Jason) Fradette, Shannon (Nick) Tchania, Lindsay Kufta, Riley Kufta, Kristine (Jon) Sheets, Stephen Knudson, Danika Knudson, Tyler (Teneille) Trew, Devon Trew and Brent Trew; and her eight great grandchildren Kylie and Owen Willms, Heidi, Amy and Andrea Fradette, Davis, Julia and Reid Trew. She will also be missed by her sister Anne (Ted) Acott; her sisters-in-law, Jo Trew and Marie Trew; and her aunt, Mickey Wilson; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate her life was held in Nanaimo on Friday, April 23. If you wish, donations in memory of Isabel may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (1-888-700-1131).
