It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Agnes Craig Palmer on April 29, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her daughters Wendy Palmer (Wade) and Kerry Alexander of Saint John; sister Jean Kinley (Bob) of Quispamsis; grandchildren Madison, Peter Gordon, Robbi, and Marc; nieces Alexis and Christine; nephew David; and special grand niece Hannah V. Agnes was born in Greenock, Scotland to the late Quintin and Helen McGrath before emigrating to New Brunswick where she was active in community and municipal affairs serving as mayor of Fairvale, NB. She also worked in the Market Square Library for many years, the Kennebecasis Public Library for over 20 years and was in the first group of the KVQG. Besides her parents she was predeceased by nephew Mark. Visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB on Sunday, May 2 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 with a memorial service to take place on May 3 at 1:00 P.M. from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel with a reception to follow.
