Hugh C. (Junior) Fawcett of Nortondale, NB passed away May 1, 2010 at his home. Junior was born at Nortondale, NB in 1938, a son of the late Hughie and Nadine (Sharp) Fawcett. Junior was a Millwright, drove pulp truck, and was a licensed dynamite blaster. For several years he operated a sawmill on his property and was noted for having the ability to do all his math and figuring in his head. In his later years he used a calculator but never trusted them. Junior enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, traveling on his ATV and working in the woods. He is survived by a sister, Judy Roberts (Bruce), Birdton, NB; two brothers, Arthur Fawcett, Hawkins Corner, NB and Terry Fawcett, Edmonton, AB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant sister, Connie, a brother, Clinton Fawcett and a nephew, Mitchell Fawcett.
Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Bragdon officiating. Interment will take place in the Fawcett Cemetery. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Junior, the family has suggested the Fawcett Cemetery.
