It is with great sadness that the family of the late Audrey Fifield announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, May 4th, 2009, at the age of 73 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband of 54 years, Emerson; children: Carolyn Hackett, Fort McMurray, AB, Tony (Alice) Fifield, Fort McMurray, AB, Diane (Shawn) Johnson, Pasadena and Laurie (Mark) Thompson, Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Shelly (Brad) Luther, Jackie (Colin) Walsh, Sheri (Joe) Fourgere, Angie (Scott) Gordon, Toni (Andrew) Creech, Kayla Johnson, Christopher Johnson, Amanda Burgess and Adam Thompson; great-grandchildren: Gregory, Connor, Reece, Avery, Kieran, Ethan, Gavin, Leah and Cara; sisters: Ruby (Gerry) Mischaud, Mississauga, ON, Marie Bennett, Detroit, MI, Elsie Young, Toronto, ON and Sharon (Gerald) Vokey, St. John’s; brother-in-law, Ralph Austin, Springdale, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sisters: Marguerite Austin and Wavey Young, as well as her parents, Augustus and Bertha Young. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 7th at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street with Majors Robert and Cassie Kean officiating. Cremation to follow with interment at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association.
