It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie A. Burden announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, May 4, 2009 at the age of 73 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Eric and one son, Eric Jr. (Audrey) Burden of Port au Port, four daughters: Sharon (Charlie) Groves of Happy Valley, Elizabeth (Brian) Gaudon of Stephenville, Valerie (Ramsey) White of Happy Valley, Dianne (Rick) Gaudet of Port au Port, two brothers: William (Jackie) Kennedy of Mount Pearl, Maurice Kennedy (Ethel Barrett) of Gander, one sister, Alice (Gerald) Saunders of Goulds, 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Madeline and Thomas Kennedy and her brother, Frankie Kennedy. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 7th at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with cremation to follow. Interment will take place on Friday, May 8th at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
