Kathleen Ellen 'Kaye' MacLeod, 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck on Saturday, May 1, 2010.
Born Aug. 11, 1933, she was the daughter of Maye (MacLean) and the late Bain MacRae of Baddeck, N.S.
Kaye is survived by her mother, Maye; loving husband, Joseph Fitzgerald and her children, Carol (Malcolm) Campbell, Donald MacLeod, Cathy (Johnny) Cameron and Roy MacLeod. She is also survived by siblings, Ethel (Donald P.) MacDonald, Carl (Shirley) MacRae, Chrissie (Barry) Gillis; stepchildren, George and Mark Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Darrin (Lorie) Campbell, Jennifer (David) Jamieson, Michael Campbell, Ginny Cameron and Rory Cameron, Jamie-Lynn MacLeod, Bhreah MacLeod and Taylor MacLeod; great-granddaughter, Lauren; Aunt Maude MacLean; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Kaye was predeceased by her father, Bain, brother, Roy MacRae, aunt, Tena MacRae, uncles, Roddie MacRae and Neil MacLean.
A private family burial will take place at 11 a.m. in Greenwood Cemetery, Baddeck, on May 8, 2010.
