Retired Senior VP RBC. Passed away peacefully in his sleep, in the early morning of Sunday, May 2nd, 2010. Loving father of Joyce (Stone) Wood and her husband Eric, and Christopher Stone. Proud Grampa of Walker, Colton and Alexander. Brother-in-law to Sarah-Jane Stone. Uncle of Gilbert Stone, Bessie (Stone) Doyle and their families. Special friend of Kathy. He will also be missed by extended family and many close friends. Predeceased by his wife Eleanore Stone, parents Eleizar and Elizabeth Stone, and brother Robert Andrew Stone. Ed was retired from a long and successful career at the Royal Bank of Canada.
Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Oakville Chapel", 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Tuesday May 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday May 5th at St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glen Oaks Cemetery, Oakville.
