Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, while surrounded by his loving family, Willard passed away after a brief battle with cancer on April 24, 2010.
Beloved husband of Lois (nee Ramsay); cherished dad of Darlene MacDougall (Keir), Sandy Wilson (Stewart) and Julie Ann McQuaid (Blake). Adored grampy of Katelyn (David Barnes), Mitchell, Nicholas, Ben, Brett, Sydney and Sarah. Brother of Thelma Roper (Jim), Kenny MacLeod (Cynthia), Verna Banks (David), Hector MacLeod (Elizabeth), Joan MacInnes (John, deceased), Kathy Davies (Wayne) and Judy MacLeod (Andy Baiani). Son-in-law of Laura Ramsay (Keir, deceased); brother-in-law of Catherine Hawley, Jean Gamble (Heber, deceased), Laura Lee Ramsay and Ruby Ramsay (John, deceased).
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Julia MacLeod of Ingonish, N.S. and by brothers, Harold and Gerald.
Willard was a carpenter by trade, a race horse owner and enthusiast.
The funeral was held April 29, 2010, at Cornwall United Church with burial in St. Catherine's Pioneer Cemetery.
