Frank Patton Boutilier, 79, of Wadden's Cove passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Wadden's Cove, he was the son of the late William and Minnie (Wadden) Boutilier.
Frank was a lobster fisherman his entire life. He also enjoyed music and was in a country band in his younger years.
He loved spending time with family. His pride and joy were his two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Janice (Wadden); daughter, Susan (Bernie) MacDonald, Wadden's Cove; grandchildren, Renee (Doug) Walker, Sussex, N.B., and Chris (Terri Dawn) MacDonald, Round Island; four great-grandchildren, Hayden and Addison Walker and Callie and Reagan MacDonald; brothers, Craig and Gary (Gail) Boutilier, Wadden's Cove; brother-in-law, Sid MacPherson, Glace Bay; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sisters, Genevieve MacPherson and Rhea Boutilier, in infancy.
Visitation for Frank will be held Friday, May 7, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 8 at Christ Church, South Head, with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory may be made to Palliative Care or VON.
