On Saturday, May 8th at the Loch Lomond Villa, Marise Vennetta Howard (nee Woodman) passed away peacefully. Marise was the loving wife of the late K. James (Jim) B. Howard, with whom she worked for many years at "Howard's Convenience". Marise was born in 1931 in Grand Falls, Nfld., to the late Chesley and Stella (nee Hillier) Woodman. She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and enjoyed singing in the choir. She is survived by her son, Robert (Debbie) Howard, Musquash, sisters D. Jean Matheson, Saint John, Verna (Ronald) Pollett, Boca Raton, Florida, Shirley Alteen, Corner Brook, Nfld, and sister-in-law, Anne (Nance) Woodman, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Jim and her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Claude, Robin, Guy, Lloyd and George, as well as brothers-in-law, E. Stanley Matheson and Douglas Alteen.
Following cremation, visitation will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 10th at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 11th at 2 p.m. In keeping with Marise's love of children and animals, the family suggests donations to P.R.O.
